The
Elkhorn Cabin was originally located at the Elkhorn Ranch in
Windermere, B.C. where is was used as accommodation for ranch-hands staff.
In September of 1997, Don and Heather Bilodeau purchased it and moved it
to the base of Panorama Mountain and then had it towed behind a DC6
bulldozer up 3400 vertical feet to where it is now located near the top of
the Champagne Chair of the western side of Roller Coaster Run.
The incredible scenery includes Toby Creek 3400' directly below and Mount
Nelson and the Purcell Mountain ranges directly in front. The guest book's
most commonly used word is "awesome." The cabin has been featured in
numerous magazines, newspapers, and TV shows. Public is always welcome
however sometimes the cabin is reserved for private functions.
We offer excellent music and great hospitality hosted by Janice Mitchel,
plus Heather and Don Bilodeau often greet guests.
